Winemaking: Organic Muscat grapes were picked by hand early and fermented in stainless steel with indigenous yeast. Bottled before fermentation ended in order to produce a sparkling Pet Nat wine (Ancestral method). Disgorged and capped in January 2021. No dosage, filtration or added sulphur.
This Wine: A sparkling Pet Nat wine with bright and lively acidity. The aromatics of the Muscat grape are reigned in slightly from the early harvest. Light and refreshing. This is the very first vintage for this wine!
Notes on the Winemaker: The Durrmann family make wine the village of Andlau on the slopes of Vosges mountains in Alsace. The vineyards have been organic since 1998 and sulphur free cuvees have been produced since 2007 after Yann (the son) took over running the winery.
