Moscato / Pinot Noir
M.P.N. 2023
Faedesfa
Grape Variety: Moscato Giallo / Pinot Noir
Producer: Faedesfa (Alberto Buratti)
Region: Rovolon, Colli Euganei, Veneto, Italy
Wild Scale: 5/5
Winemaking: Organic Moscato and Pinot Noir grapes were harvested by hand. Direct press before fermentation with indigenous yeast in stainless steel. Aged in tank for 1 year before being bottled with no fining, filtration or added sulphur.
This Wine: Natural orange wine with a golden colour in the glass. The Pinot Noir provides subtle, candied red fruit notes and spice but no colour. Tropical and citrus fruit comes from the Moscato to create a unique and exciting combination. Another hit from the evil genius that is Alberto!
Notes on the Winemaker: Alberto Buratti farms just over 3 hectares of vines in the Colli Euganei region of Veneto. He grew up around these vineyards when his Grandfather worked them but it wasn't until 2019 that he took the plunge to take over full time. Now he works with local and international grape varieties that he grows organically and doesn't add anything in the winemaking process. He loves taking risks and continually looks to challenge himself in order to produce the most characterful wines possible. He is the nephew to fellow Venetian winemaker, Marco Buratti.
