Winemaking: Organic Chardonnay grapes were hand harvested and pressed directly and spontaneously fermented with indigenous yeast. Aged in old barrels for 2 years. Bottled with no filtration, fining or added sulphur.
This Wine: Rich and round Chardonnay made representative of a warm vintage. Weighty on the palate with layer upon layer of complexity. Ripe peach and citrus combines with spice and minerals to produce and outstanding wine that has plenty of ageing potential.
Notes on the Winemaker: Katie Worobeck hails from Ontario Canada which is where she first began to fall in love with viticulture. After moving to France to follow her passion, she worked with none other than Anne and Jean-Francois Ganevat before getting her hands on a plot of vines on the esteemed site of Les Varrons where Domaine Labet also works. She uses organic and biodynamic farming methods to produce wonderfully evocative wines without any additions.
