Winemaking: Organic Grenache grapes from 25 year old vines were harvested by hand. Fermented with wild yeast in old barrels. Aged in stainless steel for 8 months. No fining, filtration or added sulphur. 

This Wine: Natural red wine with a medium to full body with some soft tannin. This cuvée intends to showcase the gentler, delicate and aromatic side of the Grenache grape variety. Dark cherry, dried violets and subtle liquorice aromas are complimented with some developed earthy notes thanks to time in the bottle. Clean and focussed. Best served with food.

Notes on the Winemaker: Cyril Fhal produces precise, complex and elegant wines in the Côtes Catalanes appellation of southern France. His started his winery Clos du Rouge Gorge in 2002 and now farms around hectares of vines and always gives a deep respect to the land through his farming practices.
