Winemaking: Organic Grolleau and Gamay grapes were harvested by hand. Fermentation with indigenous yeast in stainless steel tanks. Bottled with no fining, filtration or added sulphur.
This Wine: This is a light red wine perfect for the warmer months. Delicate but complex notes of fresh red fruit, earthiness and a hint of spice. Doesn't necessarily require food and should be drunk slightly cooler than room temperature. 10.5% alcohol.
Notes on the Winemaker: Laurent Saillard worked in the restaurant world before he found his calling in natural wine. He has created quite a buzz for himself in the eastern part of the Loire valley where he works with native grape varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc, Pineau d'Aunis and Gamay.
