Winemaking: Organic Pineau d'Aunis grapes from different plots were harvested by hand. Whole bunch fermentation with indigenous yeast. Aged for 1 year in old barrels before being bottled with no fining, filtration or added sulphur. 

This Wine: Natural red wine with a light body. After a cooler 2023, the resulting wine shows all the delicate beauty of the Pineau d'Aunis variety. Full of white pepper and raspberries with balanced, fresh acidity. Tannins are already nice and soft. Delicious!

Notes on the Winemaker: Renaud Guettier is the man behind La Grapperie, located in Loire village of Bueil-de-Touraine. There he farms 5 hectares of old vines and produces intense and elegant wines that are always aged in old barrels.
