Winemaking: Organic Pinot Noir grapes were harvested by hand and de-stemmed. Macerated for 4 weeks and fermented with indigenous yeast in stainless steel. Aged in tank. Bottled with no fining, filtration or added sulphur.

This Wine: Over the years this has slowly become one of our favourite cuvées from Yann. Beautiful concentration of fresh fruit with hints of spice and earth and always with a touch of wildness. Really age-worthy. Only 1900 bottles produced.

Notes on the Winemaker: The Durrmann family make wine in the village of Andlau on the slopes of Vosges mountains in Alsace. The vineyards have been organic since 1998 and sulphur free cuvees have been produced since 2007 after Yann (the son) took over running the winery.
