Vegan friendly wine

Winemaking: Organic Auxerrois grapes were harvested by hand. Direct press before fermentation with indigenous yeast. Pressed into old barrels where the wine aged for 9 months. No filtration, fining or added sulphur.

This Wine: Natural white white with a medium, textured body that combines fruit (lemon) characteristics, minerals and something more savoury. A complex, food friendly wine

Notes on the Winemaker: After training with some of the great names in natural wine such as Patrick Meyer and Le Coste, Yannick Meckert established his own project following in the footsteps of his parents but taking winemaking in a more organic and holistic direction. In 2019 he produced his first vintage from just under 4 hectares in the Alsatian village of Obernai.
