Winemaking: Organic Barbera grapes were hand harvested and de-stemmed. Fermented separately in cement tank with indigenous yeast. Aged for 1 year in concrete and then another year in old oak barrels. Bottled with no filtration, fining or added sulphur.

This Wine: Natural red wine made from Barbera d'Asti. Drinks a lot lighter and fresher than this variety is usually known for, mainly thanks to a cooler vintage which is increasingly rare in this region. Available at a bargain price for a limited time!

Notes on the Winemaker: Nadia Verrua comes from a family of winemakers who have been growing grapes in the hills of Monferrato for over 100 years. She now produces absorbing, rustic wines that burst with Piedmontese character.
