Winemaking: Biodynamic Blaufrankisch grapes were harvested by hand. De-stemmed before 8 day maceration. Fermentation with indigenous yeast. Aged in old barrels for 10 months. No fining, filtration or added sulphur. 

This Wine:  Natural red wine with light body and flavours of dark cherry, raspberry and spice alongside fresh acidity. Only the second time this wine has been made. 3000 bottles produced!

Notes on the Winemaker: István Bencze is a pioneer of natural winemaking in Hungary. His vineyards are situated on the Szent György hill, in Badacsony near Lake Balaton. He works meticulously in the vineyard, harvesting at multiple times in order the achieve the right balance in the final wine.
