Winemaking: Organic Cabernet Franc grapes from 40 year old vines on limestone & sandy soils were harvested by hand. 3 weeks whole bunch maceration before being pressed into a combination of old oak barrels, vats and amphora. Bottled with no fining, filtration or added sulphur.
This Wine: Natural red wine with a light to medium body and soft tannins. Wild on the nose with red and black fruit and some integrated volatile acidity. Spicy and earthy on the palate with a hint of refreshing CO2. Best served with food
Notes on the Winemaker: Claire & Florent Bejon farm 5 hectares of vines spread out near Chinon in the Lore valley. Their main focus is Cabernet Franc but they also farm a small amount of Chenin Blanc vines. Farming and cellar work is meticulous which results in wines full of delicate and aromatic characteristics.
