Winemaking:  Biodynamic grapes from a single plot of vines grown on clay-limestone soils, rich in iron were harvested by hand and de-stemmed. Fermented in concrete with indigenous yeast where the wine also aged. No filtration, fining or added sulphur.

This Wine: Natural red wine from the cru area of the Bergerac region. This is rich and full but has the acidity to balance and will please both conventional and natural wine drinkers. This was the first vintage not aged in oak which brings an exciting energy to the wine. Best served with food. 

Notes on the Winemaker: Vincent Barouillet is an eighth generation winemaker in the Bergerac / Monbazillac region south of Bordeaux who makes superb value wines from local varieties.
