Winemaking: Organic Chardonnay grapes grown in 2016 near Arbois were harvested by hand. Sparkling wine made in the traditional (Champagne) method. Small amount of sulphur at press.

This Wine: Arguably better than many Champagnes, this Cremant from the Jura is rich but delicate with notes of lemon brioche. Complex but also works well as an aperitif. High quality sparkling wine that offers great value

Notes on the Winemaker: Les Granges Paquenesses is the project of Loreline Laborde who runs her own farm and winemaking set up close to Arbois and Pupillin. She uses a horse for ploughing and is currently in the process of biodynamic conversion.
