Vegan friendly wine

Winemaking: Organic Chardonnay grapes were harvested by hand at a nearby organic grower's vineyard. Direct press and fermentation with indigenous yeast. Aged in old barrels for 1 year. Further aged in bottle before release. No fining, filtration or added sulphur.

This Wine: Natural white wine from the negotiant side of Domaine l'Octavin. Alice held this back in the cellar as it came from a classic Arbois vintage that resulted in high acidity. It's now showing incredible balance, energy and intensity. Concentrated minerals and citrus.

Notes on the Winemaker: Alice Bouvot has developed a big cult following since starting her domaine in 2004. She produces many cuvées, some with grapes purchased from organic growers (these bottles have the striking gnome labels) and the rest from her own vines. Her wines are unique and invigorating to say the least and should be experienced by any natural wine fan.
