Winemaking: Organic Chardonnay grapes grown on grey marl soils were harvested by hand. Fermentation with indigenous yeast in stainless steel. Aged in barrel for 10 months before bottling with no filtration or fining. Small amount of added sulphur. 

This Wine: Natural white wine with a medium body and fresh acidity. Made in the topped up (ouillé) style, so not oxidative. Zesty lemon and mineral elements come together to create something approachable in youth but still full of Jura character. 

Notes on the Winemaker: Les Marnes Blanches is the project of Pauline & Géraud Fromont who make natural wine in their home region of the Jura. They farm 12 hectares of vines across the Sud-Revermont using organic techniques and have a low intervention approach in the cellar.
