Winemaking: Organic Chardonnay grapes from 50 year old vines grown on marl soils were hand harvested by underwent direct press. Aged in sandstone vessels for 18 months. No fining, filtration or added sulphur.

This Wine: Natural white wine with beautiful intensity and balance. Acid driven but with a round and rich body. Mineral focussed with ripe citrus fruit. A top notch, age-worthy wine from one of Jura's most sought after producers. 

Notes on the Winemaker: Alice Bouvot has developed a big cult following since starting her domaine in 2004. She produces many cuvées, some with grapes purchased from organic growers (these bottles have the striking gnome labels) and the rest from her own vines. Her wines are unique and invigorating to say the least and should be experienced by any natural wine fan.
