Winemaking: Organic Savagnin and Chardonnay grapes were hand harvested and spontaneously fermented on the skins with indigenous yeast in stainless steel. Aged for 1 year in old oak barrels. Bottled with no filtration or fining and just a touch of sulphur.

This Wine: Natural skin contact wine which is round and powerful. Stone fruits and spice lead the way with a savoury finish. Full bodied with silky-soft tannins. Best served with food such as pork, chicken or duck. 

Notes on the Winemaker: Gérard and Christine Villet have been running the family winery for nearly 50 years in the famous village of Arbois in the Jura. They worked to achieve organic certification as early as 1988 and now take a hands of approach in the cellar where they produce classic Jura styles alongside more contemporary creations such as skin contact wine and Pet Nat. It was a pleasure to visit the winery in 2025 and taste with Chrsitine whilst learning about the hisotry of the domaine and the village of Arbois in general.
