Winemaking: Organic Chenin Blanc grapes were hand harvested underwent direct press. Fermentation with indigenous yeast in stainless steel. No filtration, fining or added sulphur.

This Wine: Natural white wine with a medium body. Craig finds the perfect balance of ripe fruit and fresh acidity with a driving mineral energy throughout. Citrus, apple, honey and brioche with a refreshing, saline finish. A brilliant expression of Chenin.

Notes on the Winemaker: Craig and Carla Hawkins began the Testalonga project in 2008 and are now making some of the most unique wines in South Africa. They work with European grape varieties such as Cinsault and Chenin Blanc along with a range of winemaking techniques. The Baby Bandito range offers amazing value whilst the higher end cuvées offer vivid expressions of terroir and showcase precise and clean winemaking techniques.
