Winemaking: Organic/Biodynamic Chenin Blanc grapes grown on schist soils were hand harvested and fermented with indigenous yeast in stainless steel tanks. Aged in fibreglass. No fining or filtration and just a small amount of sulphur on bottling. 

This Wine: Great value, dry Chenin Blanc with flavours of pear, green apple and lemon.  Nice mineral finish making it a great accompaniment for fish. Hazy yellow in the glass with pleasant texture. 

Notes on the Winemaker: The Ménard family produce natural wine in the heart of the Coteaux du Layon AOC in the Loire valley.  The 13 hectares of vines have been certified Biodynamic since 2007.
