Winemaking: Organic Chenin Blanc grapes from a single plot were hand harvested and underwent fermentation with indigenous yeast. No filtration, fining or added sulphur.  

This Wine: Natural white wine from vines planted by the Hodgsons between 2017 and 2021. Slightly fresher and leaner than their usual style but still showing plenty of depth and complexity, this will continue to develop for years to come. 

Notes on the Winemaker: Mai & Kenji Hodgson work 4 hectares of vines in Rablay-Sur-Layon. They met in Vancouver before studying winemaking in Japan, eventually settling in this area of the Loire valley. Their wines are impeccably made without any additions yet this is even more potential over the coming years.
