Winemaking: Organic Chenin Blanc grapes from different plots (both young and old) were harvested by hand. Direct press and fermentation with indigenous yeast. Aged for 15 months in old barrels before being bottled with no fining, filtration or added sulphur. 

This Wine: Natural white wine light a medium body. This is the most ready-to-drink of the 2023 white wines from La Grapperie and is made with the earliest picked grapes at harvest. Lean and acid driven with a lovely purity of citrus and minerals. An easier drinking style of Chenin that can be enjoyed with or without food. 

Notes on the Winemaker: Renaud Guettier is the man behind La Grapperie, located in Loire village of Bueil-de-Touraine. There he farms 5 hectares of old vines and produces intense and elegant wines that are always aged in old barrels.
