This Wine: 240 bottles of this wine were aged for over 30 years in the Breton's cellar before release and all reports show this has protected the wine and allowed it to age wonderfully. It's demi-sec so expect some sweetness along with developed orchard and citrus fruit with a complex, herbal finish. A versatile pairing for food and someone even had an amazing experience when partnered with Szechuan! A unique opportunity to drink a bottle of Chenin with so much age. 

Notes on the Winemaker: Catherine and Pierre Breton are legendary figures in the natural wine movement and pioneering pillars of the Loire Valley. Based in Restigné, the family-run estate has been crafting wine for generations, but it was Pierre and Catherine’s decision to convert to organic farming in 1990 and full biodynamics in 1994 (after being inspired by Beaujolais natural wine figure Jules Chauvet) that cemented their icon status. Specialising in vibrant Cabernet Franc across Bourgueil and Chinon, alongside razor-sharp Chenin Blanc from Vouvray, the Bretons champion wild-yeast fermentations, zero additives, and ultra-low sulphite additions. Today, the couple works alongside their children, France and Paul, continuing a proud family legacy of honest, living Loire wines.
