Winemaking: Organic Mantonegro grapes were harvested by hand. 90% were de-stemmed whilst the rest remained in whole bunches. 12 days of skin contact and fermentation with indigenous yeast in plastic tanks. Aged in a mixture of old barrels and tanks. No fining or filtration and just a small amount of added sulphur on bottling.
This Wine: Light red wine made from a Mallorquin grape variety. Crunchy red berries and juicy cherry fruit with refreshing acidity. Drink slightly chilled for maximum enjoyment.
Notes on the Winemaker: After arriving in on the island of Mallorca to learn from local winemaker Cati Ribot, Charlie Prymaka started his own project, Jugo Vins in 2020 with his partner Lauren Duttenhofer. The focus is on easy-drinking, fun wines that are made with local grape varieties from organic plots across the island including some of Cati's vines.
