Winemaking: Organic Gamay grapes were harvested by hand. Whole bunch maceration and fermentation with indigenous yeast.  Bottled young with no fining, filtration or added sulphur.

This Wine: Natural red wine with a light body. Full of energetic, fresh berry fruit. Romain bottles the wine relatively quickly after fermentation is complete in order to give a youtful expression of Gamay. Drink slightly chilled.

Notes on the Winemaker: Natural winemaker Romain des Grottes has made a huge name for himself in recent years by concocting the most delicious alcohol-free wine alternatives that we have ever encountered. He only uses natural ingredients that surround his vineyards in Beaujolais and combines them with organic, unfermented grape juice to create complex, non alcoholic soft drinks. But all this overshadows his actual wines which we also absolutely delightful!
