Vegan friendly wine

Winemaking: Organic Gamay grapes planted on quartz and pink granite soils were hand harvested. 30 day carbonic maceration and fermentation with indigenous yeast. Aged for 12 months in old barrels before being bottled with no fining, filtration or added sulphur.

This Wine: Natural red wine with a light body. A beautiful purity of perfumed fruit is partnered with a deep mineral character. Wonderfully balanced. This is the first vintage released by Brice since taking over the reigns after the untimely death of Julie.

Notes on the Winemaker: Julie Balagny sadly passed away suddenly in 2023. She dedicated her life to her vines in Beaujolais from which she produced some of the most sublime natural wines we have ever tasted. Her winery is now in the hands of longtime friend and assistant Brice Grizzonet who aims to honour her name and carry on with the work she started.
