Winemaking: Organic Gamay grapes were harvested by hand. 10 day carbonic maceration and fermentation with indigenous yeast. Just the free run juice was aged in amphora. Bottled with no filtration, fining or added sulphur.

This Wine: Natural red wine with a light body. Beautifully delicate Gamay with wonderful concentration of fresh red berries, minerals and subtle spice. You can chill it but don't go too far as you don't want to miss the complexity on offer here. Has us dreaming of Spring. 

Notes on the Winemaker: Maude Rochette hails from Montreal, Canada where she worked as a Sommelier before making the permanent move to France after falling in love on various harvest visits. She worked with Raph and Emelie Beysang before taking the plunge on her own vines in Montgiron, Beaujolais. She produces energetic wines that show a beautiful purity of fruit and minerals.
