This Wine: Natural red wine with light body but a deep and wild character. Best served slightly chilled with a substantial dish such as barbecued meat or stew.
Notes on the Winemaker: Laureano Serres is a legendary Catalan winemaker based in the region of Tarragona, south of Barcelona. This is a dry and rugged region where he made a name for himself by producing rustic and honest wines under the Mendall name since 1999. The elevation in Terra Alta brings freshness and acidity to the wines and there is usually a sense of wildness to each bottle that reflects the terroir here perfectly. Laureano is also credited with being a founding member of the Brutal movement as well as starting the annual wine fair H2O Vegetal in Barcelona.
