Winemaking: Organic Grolleau & Cabernet Franc grapes from two different plots were harvested by hand. Each variety was fermented seperately with indigenous yeast in fibreglass tanks. Aged in old barrels. No filtration or fining. Small amount of added sulphur on bottling.
This Wine: Light to medium bodied red wine with bright acidity. Fresh red and black fruit flavours and complimented with some delicate spice. Great by itself but can compliment light food dishes also.
Notes on the Winemaker: Julien Delrieu hails from Brittany and travelled the world researching artisan food and wine production before settling in Anjou. He works just over 3 hectares of vines and 2018 was his first vintage. His wines display energy and balance already so the future looks very promising.
