Vegan friendly wine 

Winemaking: Organic Kovidinka grapes from 100 year old vines were harvested by hand and crushed before spending 6 days on the skins. Fermentation with indigenous yeast in old oak barrels where the wine ages for a further 8 months. No fining, filtration or added sulphur. 

This Wine: A natural orange wine made from a grape that originated in Hungary. Fresh acidity with a rustic edge and flavours of apricot, peach and citrus peel. Only 2000 bottles produced.

Notes on the Winemaker: Oskar Maurer produces fun and approachable wines made from local grape varieties that you have probably never heard of. They are also amazingly well priced which is always nice. His vineyards are close to the river Danube, not far from the border with Croatia.
