Grape Variety: Lambrusco di Sorbara

Producer: Angol d'Amig (Marco Lanzotti)

Region: Modena, Emila-Romagna, Italy

Wild Scale: 3/5

Vegan friendly wine

Winemaking: Organic Lambrusco di Sorbara grapes were harvested by hand. Fermented with indigenous yeast after no skin contact. Must of Trebbiano grapes was then used to kickstart a second fermentation and the wine was bottled at that moment. No filtration, fining or added sulphur.

This Wine: Pale pink sparkling wine with delicated bubbles and a chracter reminiscent of raspberry lemonade. Great as an aperitif or with casual food like pizza. Only 700 bottles produced. The name refers to when Italian winemakers ask each other if their sparkling wines make enough foam. Spoma?

Notes on the Winemaker: Angol d'Amig means "Friends Corner" in the local dialect of Marco Lanzotti who makes natural wine just outside Modena in Emila-Romagna. He aims to make wines that reflect the beautiful land around him.
