Winemaking: Organic Malvasia de Sitges grapes grown in a single plot were harvested by hand. Fermented and on the skins for 8 days. Bottled witn no fining, filtration or added sulphur.
This Wine: Up there with the most unique and exciting wines we have ever had. Tinned peaches, dried flowers and a fresh mineral character. Orange wine made from a rare Malvasia clone which only adds to its mystery and appeal. A special bottle made even more desirable by the fact that only a small quantity was produced in 2020. Get on it!
Notes on the Winemaker: Toni Carbó is one half of the esteemed Cava house (with friend Ramon Jané), Mas Candí in Penedés. He started his own project La Salada in 2012 to focus on making wines like his Grandfather used to. They are some of most sought after as they provide an authentic and honest expression of Catalan terroir.
