Winemaking: Biodynamic Marsanne and Roussane grapes were a harvested by hand. direct press before fermentation with indigenous yeast. Aged for 18 months in old barrels. Bottled with no fining, filtration or added sulphur.

This Wine: Natural white wine with a full body. Deep, textured, complex and powerful. Dark minerals with developed citrus and floral elements. Subtle notes of almond with a saline, savoury finish. A bottle to enjoy over a long meal.

Notes on the Winemaker: Jean Delobre makes elegant but powerful but elegant wines in the Saint Joseph region of Northern Rhône. The vineyards have been biodynamic since 1997 and within the winery, there is a hands-off approach with the aim being to let the quality of the fruit shine through in the finished wine. Now he is handing over to his daughter Aurore who will be the 4th generation to run the family farm. They both came to Highbury Library in February 2026 to present at one of our Wine Club evenings.
