Winemaking: Organically (uncertified grapes) were hand harvested and fermented with indigenous yeast after one week on the skins. Aged in old wooden barrels for 9 months. Bottled with no fining, filtration or added sulphur.
This Wine: A natural orange wine with amazing and unique character. Dried stone fruit, citrus and tropical fruit flavours with aromatic and floral notes. Dried herbs add to the complexity. One in a million!
Notes on the Winemaker: Nuria Renom was a sommelier at the infamous Bar Brutal in Barcelona when she started the journey to becoming one of the most exciting winemakers in Catalunya. She is currently working out of the cellar of La Salada (another Highbury Library fave) where she is making tiny productions of wines that burst with life and energy. The wines are not cheap but they are certainly worth it.
