Winemaking: Organic Muscat grapes were hand harvested. A few days skin contact before fermentation with indigenous yeast in stainless steel. No filtration, fining or added sulphur.

This Wine: Natural orange wine with a medium body. Despite the name, this is a completely dry and refined expression of Muscat with stone fruit, citrus and restrained aromatics. Craig achieves his signature, salty finish which brings complexity and refreshment. 

Notes on the Winemaker: Craig and Carla Hawkins began the Testalonga project in 2008 and are now making some of the most unique wines in South Africa. They work with European grape varieties such as Cinsault and Chenin Blanc along with a range of winemaking techniques. The Baby Bandito range offers amazing value whilst the higher end cuvées offer vivid expressions of terroir and showcase precise and clean winemaking techniques.
