Winemaking: Organic Nero d'Avola and Frappato grapes were hand harvested before being de-stemmed and crushed by foot. Macerated for 2 days and fermentation with indigenous yeast. Aged in fibreglass tanks for 7 months before bottling with no filtration or fining and just a touch of added sulphur.
This Wine: Natural red wine with a light to medium body. Red berries and blood orange aromas with floral and herbal notes and a fresh, saline finish. This is concentrated but delicate at the same time. Great by itself or with a light dish.
Notes on the Winemaker: Vittorio and Biagio are two friends from the town of Chiaramonte in the south of Sicily. The pair had previously worked with likes of Arianna Occhipinti and COS before they make they launched their own project, VINB, in 2021. The own a small vineyard and rent a couple of hectares on top of that to produce energetic and pure wines that are full of southern Sicilian character.
