Region: Jurançon, South West France

Winemaking: Organic Petit Manseng and Gros Manseng grapes were harvested by hand. Direct press and fermentation with indigenous yeast. Aged in old oak barrels. No filtration, fining or added sulphur.

This Wine: A natural white wine with precision and power but the acidity to match. , Pineapple, ripe lemon, smokey minerals and more. Full bodied, complex and brilliantly intense so best served with food. Will age very well for years to come.

Notes on the Winemaker: Jean-Baptiste Semmartin produces natural wines close to the Pyrenees in South West France. He trained in Bordeaux and Burgundy before settling in this wilder region which is famous for sweet Jurançon styles. The Lajibe wines are the opposite though. Native grape varieties are employed to create dry, powerful white wines that retain acidity and tension.
