Winemaking: Organic Pineau d'Aunis grapes from different plots were harvestred by hand. Whole bunch fermentation with indigenous yeast. Aged for 1 year in old barrels before being bottled with no fining, filtration or added sulphur. 

This Wine: Light bodied red wine with an amazing intensity of fruit and spice. The classic peppercorn notes of the grape variety combine with red berries and a hint of earth. Delicate but deep and complex. 

Notes on the Winemaker: Renaud Guettier is the man behind La Grapperie, located in Loire village of Bueil-de-Touraine. There he farms 5 hectares of old vines and produces intense and elegant wines that are always aged in old barrels.
