Pierre Mang

Producer: Pierre Mang
Region: Macôn, Burgundy, France
Wild Scale: 3/5

Winemaking: Organic Pinot Noir grapes were harvested by hand. Fermented with indigenous yeast. Bottled with no filtration, fining or added sulphur.
This Wine: Natural red Burgundy with a light body and amazing intensity of fruit complimented by delicate spice. Sour cherries with an earth underbelly. A special bottle that should keep improving with age. Very small production from this rising star of the region.
Notes on the Winemaker: Pierre Mang is a young vigneron from Paris who moved to Burgundy to study winemaking in Beaune. He acquired a very small plot of vines before embarking on his first vintage in 2019 following advice from Phillipe Valette. Now he works just under 3 hectares of parcels himself and is still figuring out where his path will take him. It's exciting to be able to experience these wines at such an early stage of this winemaker's career which certainly promises to be a special one.
