This Wine: Natural red Burgundy which displays a great mineral character supported by delicate but concentrated red fruit aromas. Fresh and crisp. Less than 8000 bottles produced.
Notes on the Winemaker: Clos des Vignes du Maynes was founded in 1954 on land that had been used by monks for viticulture since the year 910. Pierre and Jeanne Guillot immediately worked organically in the vineyard and without use of sulphur in the cellar. Their son Julien joined the project in 1998 and they transitioned to biodynamic farming. Now they work around 8 hectares on clay-limestone soils where they cultivate Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Gamay grapes to produce Burgundian wines of real purity that focus on fruit and not flavours of wood!
