Winemaking: Organic Pinot Noir grapes were harvested by hand and de-stemmed. Macerated for 4 weeks and fermented with indigenous yeast in stainless steel. Aged in tank. Bottled with no fining or filtration and just a touch of added sulphur.

This Wine: Yann's Rouge de Pinot Noir returns for the 2022 vintage. It was a much warmer year in Alsace which has resulted in a slightly rounder and softer red compared to previous iterations of this cuvée. Still plenty of juicy red cherry fruit and balanced acidity. 

Notes on the Winemaker: The Durrmann family make wine in the village of Andlau on the slopes of Vosges mountains in Alsace. The vineyards have been organic since 1998 and sulphur free cuvees have been produced since 2007 after Yann (the son) took over running the winery.
