Winemaking: Organic Pinot Noir and Gamay grapes were harvested by hand. The former underwent a short period of skin contact whilst the latter was directly press. Fermentation with indigenous yeast. Aged in a combination of old oak barrels and stoneware vessels. No fining, filtration or added sulphur.
This Wine: Concentrated rosé with a beautiful intensity of candied raspberries, strawberry and red apple skin. Subtle herbs add further complexity. A thirst quenching but thoughtful wine.
Notes on the Winemaker: Pioneers of the modern Auvergne natural wine revival, Marie and Vincent Tricot moved from Beaujolais to Orcet in the early 2000s to cultivate volcanic basalt and limestone soils. Farming organically and bottling without added sulphites, their expressive Gamay d'Auvergne and Pinot Noir cuvées are celebrated for their vibrant, wild energy, crunchy dark fruit, and electric minerality. Pure, living wine at its most joyous
