Winemaking: Organic grapes were harvested by hand and macerated before fermentation with indigenous yeast. The wine was bottled before this process was finished in order to trap fizz inside the bottle (Ancestral winemaking technique - Pet Nat). No fining, filtration or added sulphur.

This Wine: Pinot Noir combines with indigenous white German grape varieties to produce one of the most drinkable Pet Nats we have tasted in recent memory. Red fruit alongside side bright, tropical and aromatic fruit with a mineral finish. We love having this kind of wine as the last bottle after a long meal. Super fresh and lifting. Ten out of ten!

Notes on the Winemaker: Alanna Lagamba is a young winemaker in Rheinhessen who is one half of the Marto project but is also producing Pet Nats under her own Vin de Lagamba labels. Originally from Canada, she worked in a natural wine bar in Berlin before moving to this part of Germany. She is a strong and energetic individual who brings these same qualities to her wines.
