Winemaking: Organic Poulsard grapes grown on grey marl soils were harvested by hand. 15 days semi-carbonic maceration and fermentation with indigenous yeast in stainless steel. Aged in barrel before bottling with no filtration, fining or added sulphur. 

This Wine: Natural red wine with a light body and fresh acidity. Complex aromas of herbs, red berries, pepper and flowers. The grapes come from a vineyard originally planted by Jura legend Pierre Overnoy.

Notes on the Winemaker: Les Marnes Blanches is the project of Pauline & Géraud Fromont who make natural wine in their home region of the Jura. They farm 12 hectares of vines across the Sud-Revermont using organic techniques and have a low intervention approach in the cellar.
