THE BOOK:
This is a debut novel translated from German, written by Swiss-Hungarian author Nelio Biedermann (at just 21 years of age). It published at the end of March but has already gathered momentum and love from authors and readers alike. It is described as a sweeping, epic story (just how we like them!!) - following the demise of a family dynasty from the early 19th century to the Hungarian Uprising in 1956.
Some reviews call it dreamlike, some say it’s surreal and strange. The Times called it a ‘twisted, modern fairytale’ and Patti Smith called it ‘exquisite’. We are intrigued! And can’t wait to read with you and see what you think.
