Winemaking: Organic Riesling, Auxerrois and Sylvaner grapes were harvested by hand. Fermentation with indigenous yeast. Aged in old barrels on the lees for 8 months. Bottled with light filtration, no fining and just a small amount of sulphur.

This Wine: Jean-Pierre's white litre returns for the 2025 vintage and we think this is by far the best iteration yet. The Riesling really shines through on this wine and provides more body that in previous vintages. Still acid driven but with a nice touch of roundness. Fresh and floral with a dominating green apple character.

Notes on the Winemaker: Jean-Pierre Rietsch is a natural winemaker in the village of Mittelbergheim, Alsace. His estate has been in the family for seven generations but wasn't used for vine cultivation until the 1970s. He has garnered a reputation as a legend in this area and when you try his wines, you'll see why. From rich and complex Riesling to traditional method sparkling wine and skin contact cuvées, his wide range has something for everyone.
