Winemaking: Organic Riesling grapes from the Grand Cru Schlossberg vineyard were harvested by hand.  Fermentation with indigenous yeast after a peroid of maceration. Aged for 11 months in old barrels before being bottled with no fining, filtration or added sulphur.

This Wine: Rich and round Riesling from one of the best natural winemakers in Alsace. Golden in the glass with stone fruit and tropical notes and a really long mineral finish. A show stopper!

Notes on the Winemaker: For over two and a half centuries, the Binner family have been making wine in the Alsatian village of Ammerschwihr. Christian has been running the winery since 1999 and has helped develop a reputation for elegant and precise wines made with minimum intervention.
