This Wine: One of our favourite Rietsch cuvées and now with added complexity and depth after 5 years in the cellar. Superb intensity and great acidity. This is full bodied and should be served with food. From one of arguably one of the best vineyards in Alsace.
Notes on the Winemaker: Jean-Pierre Rietsch is a natural winemaker in the village of Mittelbergheim, Alsace. His estate has been in the family for seven generations but wasn't used for vine cultivation until the 1970s. He has garnered a reputation as a legend in this area and when you try his wines, you'll see why. From rich and complex Riesling to traditional method sparkling wine and skin contact cuvées, his wide range has something for everyone.
