Winemaking: Organic Riesling grapes were harvested by hand from irony, calcareous, sandy soils across 4 different vintages, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024. Fermentation with indigenous yeast and later all blended together. No fining, light filtration and very small amount of sulphur on bottling.

This Wine: A brand new wine from Rietsch! Natural white wine made with Riesling from across 4 different vintages. The grapes come from the the esteemed Zotzenberg Grand Cru vineyard. Jean-Pierre has created a wine of great balance by matching up some contrasting wines. Mineral-focussed with lemon, peach and pink grapefruit flavours. Layers of complexity to be explored. Enjoy with food. 

Notes on the Winemaker: Jean-Pierre Rietsch is a natural winemaker in the village of Mittelbergheim, Alsace. His estate has been in the family for seven generations but wasn't used for vine cultivation until the 1970s. He has garnered a reputation as a legend in this area and when you try his wines, you'll see why. From rich and complex Riesling to traditional method sparkling wine and skin contact cuvées, his wide range has something for everyone.
