This Wine: After going without for a few years, we are treated to a new vintage of this great cuvée. Coquette is a blend of red and white grape varieties that have undergone maceration so you can expect a whole variety of flavours and aromas. Some tropical notes are complimented with red berries and refreshing citrus. Great without food.
Notes on the Winemaker: Jean-Pierre Rietsch is a natural winemaker in the village of Mittelbergheim, Alsace. His estate has been in the family for seven generations but wasn't used for vine cultivation until the 1970s. He has garnered a reputation as a legend in this area and when you try his wines, you'll see why. From rich and complex Riesling to traditional method sparkling wine and skin contact cuvées, his wide range has something for everyone.
