Winemaking: Organic Sauvignon Blanc grapes were harvested by hand. Fermentation with indigenous yeast in stainless steel. Bottled with no fining, filtration and a small amount of added sulphur.
This Wine: Sauvignon Blanc made in the en primeur, nouveau style! You might expect the classic Sauvignon notes to be dialled up but it's actually the opposite with a subtle and restrained character coming through. Fresh citrus and green notes with a touch of lees character.
Notes on the Winemaker: Thierry Puzelat is a local legend in his region of Touraine in the Loire Valley and his domain Clos du Tue-Boeuf has been organic sine 1996. His daughters Zoe and Louise are taking over the reigns. The blend of grapes in each cuvée often differs year to year as do the wines themselves and that's just how we like it.
